We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our experienced and well-established team. The role of a Team Leader with Avon Autistic Foundation is rewarding, and although experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as we offer a full training package with ongoing support and opportunities to develop your career.
You will be joining a team working with service users with autism and learning disabilities in a friendly and unique environment where supported living is provided alongside a day programme allowing our service users to lead busy and active lives. You will provide person-centred support to assist them in enjoying activities such as shopping, restaurant visits, and days out; the list is endless.
YOUR ROLE- Lead and mentor our care team to ensure our service users receive the best possible care
- Promote independence
- Accurate and detailed record keeping
- A respect for confidentiality
- Encourage and enable service users to make day-to-day choices
- Support service users to develop relationships and maintain contact with family and friends
- Provide service users with support to maximize their independence and develop social and life skills
- Assist with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing, and shopping
- Have a positive attitude to develop supportive relationships with service users
- Have good communication skills
- Be flexible with the shifts you can work; for example, you could work 9am-3.30pm or 3.30-11pm sleep-in finishing 9am or 3.30pm the following day; we provide 24/7 care 52 weeks per year including evenings and weekends
