My client is a leading retail fit-out contractor, delivering high-quality commercial projects across all major cities in Ireland and the UK. Known for efficient execution, attention to detail, and strong client relationships, they specialise in retail fit-out and maintenance, working with top brands and retail spaces from £250k up to £3.5 million in value.
They are looking for an Ireland-based Operations Manager/Operations Director to lead the construction operations. This would suit an experienced, driven Project Manager who is keen to progress to this level with a clear career progression path. This is a hands-on leadership position, based out of our Head Office in Shannon, with regular travel to projects in the UK (typically every two weeks for 2 nights). You’ll oversee 5 simultaneous projects and manage a team of 6–10 staff, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and continued growth. This role is ideal for a smart, presentable, and tech-savvy individual who’s not afraid of hard work and is excited to take ownership of operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the construction team across multiple commercial fit-out and maintenance projects.
- Oversee project execution from planning to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
- Liaise with clients, designers, and subcontractors, both remotely and in person.
- Maintain oversight of 5+ active projects, ranging from £250k to £3.5 million.
- Travel to UK project sites approximately every two weeks (3-day visits).
- Support new business development—bonus incentives apply for successful contributions.
- Report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with senior leadership.
