Defence & Aerospace
Up to £60k + Package
A new role has arisen within a niche team of a large UK Defence company for someone with a background in Engineering and experience reviewing software and hardware prior to integration.
This role would suit someone with a Defence background who has an understanding of both the software and systems engineering lifecycles alongside knowledge of security, quality and safety standards.
The Role
The Principal Engineer will work closely with a team to conduct assurance activities on acquired software prior to integration. These activities will include reviewing plans and processes, inspections and auditing. Risks will be identified and documented and non-conformances will be resolved through working with a range of different stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience of Systems Engineering experience within the defence sector is sought alongside knowledge of software, data and assurance methods (eg. Audits, inspections and reviews). The Software Consultant will require excellent communication skills as well as stakeholder management experience.

Hybrid Working
1 2 days per week on site in Bristol with occasional travel to client and supplier sites within the UK. Multiple other sites in the UK are available. Information on request.
