Role Overview
Are you a Configuration Management professional looking for a new challenge?
Maybe you are already a design, manufacturing or supply chain engineer wanting to broaden your capability and experience into configuration?
CIMPA PLM requires a Configuration Management Engineer, to support the aerospace sector, consulting with and supporting our customer.
You will have an engineering background, ideally a degree (or equivalent experience), having developed a sound Configuration Management know-how in aerospace and or space structure, systems and software.
Key Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
As Configuration and Change Engineer, support the customer on maintaining the baseline product structure.
Control the evolution of technical data, liaising with the Change Review Board
Provide business operational support on Change Management tools.
Co-ordinate Change Management Project elements (Business case preparation and validation, delivery management…etc.)
Prepare, run/facilitate workshops to drive As-Is & To-Be analysis.
Ensure the delivery is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the plan and governance arrangements.
Support in managing project documents:
Document revision and numbering management
Managing Test Reports for components from external suppliers onto Windchill.
Engineering Change Note (ECN) Management
Uploading the documents on to the internal system
Essential Skills
What you'll bring:
Engineering background within Aviation and Space.
Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
The ability to understand engineering design, drawings, and technical change processes.
Experience of Configuration Management knowledge in aerospace structure, space, systems and software understanding engineering design and drawings and technical change processes.
Desirable Skills
Windchill or other PLM software knowledge i.e., ability to be trained in Client-specific tools
Other Information
Location – Portsmouth, 3 days on customer site / 2 days remote
Security Clearance Level – eligible for SC
The role has been assessed and has been demmed Inside IR35
