Sewage Treatment Works Operators Location: Devon & Cornwall (allocated to sites travelable from home location) Salary: £15 to £17 per hour depending on experience Roles Available: 7 About the Role: We are seeking dedicated and reliable Sewage Treatment Works Operators to assist in the operation of several treatment works across Devon and Cornwall. These roles are an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter the wastewater treatment industry, with full training provided. Key Responsibilities (once trained): Perform safety checks on equipment, including safety showers and eyewashes. Conduct final effluent tests, including phosphorus/aluminium levels, and escalate results as needed. Collect and submit weekly lab samples. Monitor and maintain pH levels across all process stages. Inspect and manage settlement tanks, sludge blankets, and chemical bunds. Ensure dosing points are clear and chemicals are mixed effectively. Validate monitoring equipment and maintain clean tanks and filters. Arrange tankering and reordering of chemicals when necessary. Ideal Candidate: Based in Devon or Cornwall.
