Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor specialising in demolition, groundworks and land remediation projects across the South East. Based in Barking, you will play a key role in managing project costs from tender through to final account, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all commercial aspects of ongoing projects
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate tenders and contracts
• Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering
• Track project variations and valuations
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure financial control
• Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the demolition, groundworks, land remediation, and civils sectors
• Strong understanding of NEC and JCT forms of contract
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Full UK driving licence
