Our client, based in Shiremoor, is seeking a Data Administrator to support in a specialist team. The position is varied and would be suited to a candidate looking for an engaging technical role. It requires a candidate adept at problem solving and offers development of skills connected with GIS/mapping and data administration. This is a full time, on-going temporary position with immediate starts available. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.40pm with the opportunity for flexible working.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Quality assuring site records: Comparing designs with the records received; some of which will be geographically based.
  • Updating various in-house work management systems with plans, designs and site records for the electricity supply network (both underground and overhead services).
  • Inputting information accurately.
  • Maintaining the company's Asset record systems within the bounds of the Company requirements.
  • Maintaining and processing information using multiple data systems.

Suitable candidates may have:

  • Experience of GIS or fair ability at map reading.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to use initiative when problem solving.
  • General data input experience with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills; be self-motivated and able to work well in a team or individually.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Working to strict deadlines and targets.
  • An understanding of the requirements for good Customer Service.
  • Experience within the utility sector.
