Job Purpose

Reporting to the Production Manager, the mechanical fitter duties include:

  • Working from drawings and assembling new conveyors, material handling systems, chutes including motors, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, rollers, etc.
  • The successful candidate will be required to assemble conveyor systems and sub-assemblies and should have experience using pillar drills, saws, punches, and hand tools. Any welding experience would be advantageous but not essential.

The ideal applicant will be a time-served assembly technician/fitter who has experience with conveyors/material handling equipment assembly.

Key Objectives

  • Experience (some or all) of Conveyors, Automation systems, Robotics, Special purpose machinery (including platforms and walkways).
  • Some Electrical knowledge.
  • Welding experience (advantageous).

Terms & Conditions

Working hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 2:30 pm on Friday.

Workwear provided.

Overtime paid at time and a half (where required).
