My Client is a leading Multidisciplinary practice with a focus on delivering reliable and innovative solutions to data centers and critical sites. We are seeking a skilled HVAC/AC biased engineer to join our team as a Static Site Engineer. Job Overview: As an HVAC/Facilities Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the integrity and reliability of the clients\’ datacenter facilities. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems critical to the operation of their clients\’ datacenter, contributing to a seamless and efficient operational environment. Responsibilities: HVAC Systems Management: Oversee and maintain HVAC systems, including power distribution units, generators, UPS systems, and associated components. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Identify and rectify electrical faults and anomalies promptly. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor electrical systems through the use of building management systems and other relevant tools. Generate reports on electrical system performance and propose improvements based on data analysis. Respond to alarms and alerts related to HVAC systems and take corrective actions as needed. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical facilities engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical/mechanical & HVAC systems. Assist in the planning and execution of HVAC-related projects and upgrades. Emergency Response: Act as a first responder during HVAC emergencies, implementing emergency procedures to safeguard datacenter operations. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized HVAC repairs. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of HVAC equipment, maintenance activities, and incidents. Contribute to the development and updating of HVAC procedures and documentation. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Facilities Engineer with a strong focus on HVAC systems in a datacenter environment. In-depth knowledge of heating and cooling systems, power distribution, UPS systems, and backup generators. Familiarity with AC/Refrigeration codes, standards, and regulations relevant to datacenter operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an HVAC biased perspective. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC Engineering degree, Apprenticeship qualifications, or equivalent).
