Engineering Quality Manager £60,000-£70,000 + package Hertfordshire Since its inception, our client has gained a global reputation as one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of highly engineering solutions utilized across several sectors. To support and drive the strategic growth of the business, our client is now looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Quality Manager, to oversee the inspection processes within their assembly manufacturing facility based within Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving product quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing processes. The role is a hands-on position which involves managing a small team of inspectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high-quality production levels. On a daily basis you will collaborate with engineers, production staff, and management to address and resolve quality issues. You will provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements and defect prevention as well as continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. The role will mentor and train the inspection team in all professional inspection techniques and work closely with engineers and production management to ensure efficient and timely inspection of products. The candidate will manage all communication with customers on quality and inspection issues and will confidently represent the company with external and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proficient in Pre-production Approval Processes (PPAP) will also ensure Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and will understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
