International Tax Senior Manager - 12M FTC

My client – an international law firm is seeking a Senior International Tax Manager to join their in-house tax team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role reports to the Director of Tax.

This newly created role covers all tax issues outside the UK and US, focusing on countries like Germany, France, Belgium, UAE, Greece, and Singapore, with some interaction for Hong Kong and PRC. The role involves managing income tax, corporation tax compliance, VAT, payroll taxes, and cross-border mobility.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing tax compliance with outside advisers.
• Proactively handling international tax compliance.
• Supporting Pillar 2 compliance globally.
• Developing processes for new tax compliance in UAE.
• Understanding the firm\’s indirect tax footprint (VAT and GST).
• Maintaining tax account balances.
• Collaborating with Finance and billing teams.
• Supporting responses to tax audits.
• Reviewing and improving tax processes and controls.
• Ensuring appropriate transfer pricing methodologies.
• Working on VAT treatment across the region.
• Addressing international mobility and remote working tax issues.
• Enhancing tax data management.

Key skills and experience required:

• Strong international tax technical base.
• Experience in multinational tax compliance.
• Knowledge of VAT and partnership environments.
• Ability to interact and influence within a large organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with accounting systems like 3E Elite or Oracle.
• Technological savvy and quick learning ability.
• Effective firmwide relationship-building skills.
