Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist 3-6 month contract position, Inside IR35 Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm Very Competitive Rate Coventry EHS Specialist Job Description Support and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System, maintaining ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditations. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal corporate requirements. Lead the development and maintenance of HSE manuals, safe systems of work, procedures, and documentation. Provide advice, training, and support to staff and management on HSE matters. Conduct and support incident, near miss, and accident investigations with follow-up actions and reports. Deliver effective HSE inductions, risk assessments, and legal compliance checks. Co-ordinate and implement corrective actions following audits and inspections. Monitor environmental impact and drive energy reduction initiatives aligned with ISO14001 goals. Represent the company in liaison with external bodies Support Facilities Management to ensure full legal compliance. Provide monthly HSE metrics and insights to senior stakeholders across the business.  EHS Specialist Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications Previous experience in a health, safety and environmental role within a manufacturing or engineering setting. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety. Strong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001. Proven experience conducting audits, assessments, and delivering HSE training. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of a business. Able to work autonomously and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Commercially aware with a practical, hands-on approach to HSE
