As Policy and Public Affairs Officer, you will:

  • Monitor developments in health and social policy across Westminster, Whitehall, and devolved administrations
  • Draft consultation responses and policy briefings in collaboration with expert networks and senior colleagues
  • Represent the charity at cross-sector meetings, parliamentary events, and policy forums
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MPs, civil servants, health leaders, and relevant organisations
  • Work closely with members and stakeholders to ensure their insights inform advocacy work
  • Identify opportunities for strategic influence and contribute to the organisation’s wider engagement strategy

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a policy, public affairs or political engagement role within a charity, membership body, consultancy or government environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive content and represent the organisation externally
  • A track record of contributing to impactful advocacy campaigns or consultation responses
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • A keen interest in health, wellbeing, and public policy

What we offer:

  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • 27+ days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Wellbeing perks including cycle to work, flu vaccinations and eye care
  • Life assurance and staff discounts
