Are you a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a primary school before starting teacher training? A friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Lewisham is working with our agency to recruit a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant for the new academic year starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 while gaining hands-on classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the class teacher in supporting learning and behaviour across the curriculum
- Provide 1:1 or small group interventions to help raise attainment
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), EAL or additional learning needs
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning resources
- Maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- A recent graduate with a strong academic background (all subjects considered)
- Passionate about working with children and making a difference in education
- Some experience with children or young people in any setting (e.g., tutoring, youth work, mentoring) is desirable
- Strong communication skills, patience and a proactive attitude
- Committed to working full-time throughout the academic year
