We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established provider of security and facilities management services, who are looking for a dynamic sales manager to lead business growth across the North of England. This is a field-based role with regular client travel. The successful candidate must also be able to attend monthly sales meetings at the company’s Borehamwood (Herfordshire) head office. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who is confident in opening doors, pitching face-to-face, and building a solid pipeline from scratch. This is not an Account Management role, it’s about identifying and winning new business across the commercial, property maintenance and public sector B2B space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across security and FM services across the North of England region.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline, working toward clear monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Travel regularly to meet potential clients on-site and conduct face-to-face sales meetings.
  • Scope and respond to tenders, quotes, and proposal requests.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand service capabilities and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Attend regular monthly meetings at the client’s Borehamwood-based head office.
  • Maintain accurate customer reports and records, follow up leads, and track conversion rates.
  • Represent the business with professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a business development or sales manager role (B2B services) is a must.
  • Background in physical security (CCTV / Manned Guarding), cleaning, maintenance, or wider facilities management highly desirable.
  • Confident door opener with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage a pipeline, and consistently hit targets.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region to prospect new clients and open opportunities.
  • Able to travel to Borehamwood for monthly sales meetings.
