Key Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer: Achieve Production Targets: Ensure production targets are consistently met every shift. Manage Procedures and Prioritise Safety: Oversee operating procedures, always prioritising safety. Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular PPM maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition. Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve technical problems efficiently. Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for ongoing process and performance enhancement. Repair Equipment and Automated Machinery: Maintain and repair equipment and automated systems to ensure smooth operations. Document and Report Issues: Accurately document and report any issues encountered during shifts. Collaborate Effectively: Collaborate closely with other teams and departments to achieve production goals through effective communication and problem-solving. Qualifications & Skills Relevant engineering experience [Minimum NVQ Level 3], equivalent or transferrable skills. Full and legal rights to work in the UK.(We cannot sponsor or support VISA applicants at this time) Essential Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or related field Previous experience as Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations Able to understand the importance and principles of an advanced Quality Management System (QMS) Experience in maintaining and repairing Machinery and Production equipment. Experience with industrial networks and control systems Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure. Experience of safely conducting planned maintenance across a site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed. Be an integral part of the engineering team, responding to breakdowns establishing root cause analysis to limit breakdown reoccurring, improving machine reliability and performance. Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements. Hands on ownership of issues Experience of working well in a team within a fast-paced environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability and willingness to work at height. Desirable Preferably Multi Skilled Electrical / Mechanical with a strong technical knowledge in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ex forces Electrical / Engineer with BTEC/HNC/HND/C&G or Degree in Engineering or related field Previous knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of a Quality Management System (QMS) Experience of updating records of tasks/spare parts used from store and work completed, using a CMMS.
