A leading UK Microsoft Partner is looking for a skilled Playwright Automation Engineer to join their high-performing delivery team. This award-winning Microsoft Solutions Partner is trusted by enterprise organisations to deliver high class cloud-first transformations with deep expertise across Azure, Security, and Modern Work.
They’re now scaling their QA capability and are looking for an experienced automation engineer to help lead the charge.
The Role:This role will focus on building and maintaining scalable test automation for Web, Desktop, and Mobile platforms. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in both C# and TypeScript, with deep knowledge of SpecFlow, Cucumber, Playwright, and Selenium.
They’ll work closely with developers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure robust test coverage and high-quality delivery across multiple projects, often in deadline-driven, agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement automated and manual test cases
- Develop test automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium
- Write scalable test code in C# (SpecFlow) and TypeScript (Cucumber)
- Create behaviour-driven tests using Gherkin syntax
- Plan and execute testing across multiple delivery pipelines
- Embed test automation into CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps
- Proactively identify, isolate, and resolve defects
- Act as a Testing SME confidently engaging with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in C# and TypeScript development
- Hands-on experience with SpecFlow, Cucumber, Selenium, and Playwright
- Comfortable using BDD and Gherkin syntax in a real-world setting
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Strong communication skills with client-facing experience
- Familiarity with Azure Test Plans, Azure DevOps, and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
