JOB PURPOSE
To perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in compliance with legislative and customer-specific requirements, ensuring high standards of safety and quality in inspections.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- LEVEL 2 INSPECTORS
- Supervision: Oversee daily operations in the NDT inspection area(s) assigned, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Equipment Management: Set up NDT equipment and conduct in-service control checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Inspection Execution: Carry out NDT inspections on newly manufactured and in-service components across a variety of products, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strictly follow all relevant regulatory agency, customer, and company policies, procedures, and processes during inspections.
- Safety Focus: Execute tasks professionally with a strong emphasis on the safety of both products and personnel.
- Result Interpretation: Interpret and evaluate inspection results against established customer specifications, procedures, and codes.
- Technique Development: Develop and document inspection techniques that meet customer requirements and adhere to relevant codes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate technical records of NDT inspections and related activities, including references to the technical data used.
- Training: Train and mentor Level 1 trainees under the supervision of the responsible Level 3 technician, promoting a culture of professionalism and precision.
- Additional Duties: Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES
- Certification: Candidates must hold EN4179 certification.
- Level 2 qualification in Magnetic Particle and Fluid Penetrant Inspection methods.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of EASA, CAA, and FAA requirements is desirable.
- Team Player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office and business systems and procedures.
