As Sales Director (UK), you will be responsible for the leadership, management and profitability of assigned multi-tenant data centre and hyperscale/cloud customers and strategic channel partners to increase sales and margin of the company's products and/or services. You will be accountable for achieving sales and profitability goals through direction, organisation, coordination, communication and development of sales in the Netherlands and wider Benelux region.
You will engage with all levels of customer organisations including Technical, Operations, Supply Chain and Executive Management. This position may develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals and/or product demonstrations.
Sell a diverse range of data centre solutions and services across the UK region, including:
- Structured cabling and accessories
- Electrical solutions
- Networking solutions
- Pro-AV solutions
Position the company’s services for design, end-to-end project deployment, product enhancement and rack & roll. Build partnerships across company business units and work internally as part of a fast-paced Sales team. Develop business partner relations with the company’s strategic vendors/alliance partners to enhance value-add sales and project identification. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post-sale issues.
Utilise sales management tools for sales planning, supplier planning and documenting opportunities. Develop and administer sales plans to ensure customer satisfaction, quota attainment and skilled, motivated staff. Achieve annual sales and profit goals by implementing strategies and analysing trends with the regional and business unit Management team. Forecast sales volume and profit for existing and new products and customers. Establish and expand national, regional and local supplier relationships. Maintain sales volume, product mix and pricing by staying current with market trends and competitors. Forecast and communicate details to Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering or a relevant field preferred
- ~7+ years of related industry professional sales
- ~Working knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources
- ~Demonstrated ability to analyse, initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve forecasted goals
- ~Proven success in providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- ~Excellent time management and computer skills
- ~Ability to travel: Work is generally performed in an office environment, but the employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
