Role Overview: Valnet Inc.'s GIVEMESPORT.COM is looking for a Wrestling Lead to oversee the WWE vertical by driving content strategy and execution with support from freelance writers and a social media specialist. Day-to-day tasks include assigning, writing, and editing articles to ensure quality and optimization.
Expectations:
- Overseeing WWE content strategy & execution
- Contributing to the creation pipeline for WWE editorial content by writing and editing articles on a daily basis
- Fielding and generating compelling ideas from and for the writing team
- Providing feedback to writers
- Ensuring deadlines are met by you and the team
- Enforcing article guidelines in accordance with SEO best practices and our style guide
- Integrate editorial content into social media platforms to increase engagement and reach, in collaboration with our social media team
- Work with management to ensure stable operation and achievement of targets
What we’re looking for:
- In-depth knowledge and deep passion for wrestling
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Previous experience writing and editing for a sports publication
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices
- Hard-working, results-driven, and able to react quickly
- Experience managing and/or commissioning content
