Our client, a long-established and award-winning medical communications agency, is seeking a talented Account Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong background in medical education and a passion for delivering high-impact programmes in partnership with leading pharmaceutical clients.
Role Overview: The Account Manager will be central in delivering medical affairs-focused education initiatives across multiple therapy areas, including oncology, immunology, diabetes, and sleep disorders. You’ll be the key point of contact for global pharmaceutical accounts, managing complex projects from conception to delivery, and working closely with scientific, creative, and logistics teams to ensure excellence at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical clients, acting as their primary point of contact
- Oversee the development and delivery of medical education projects, including advisory boards, KOL engagement, standalone meetings, and more
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and internal resources to deliver on the brief and schedule
- Support the planning and execution of national and international events, both live and virtual
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with client goals
- Drive consistent quality across all deliverables while identifying opportunities for account growth
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a client-facing role within a medical communications agency (preferably in medical education/medical affairs)
- Strong project management skills and confidence handling multiple high-profile accounts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ideally holds a Life Sciences degree
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in office – Buckinghamshire location, commutable from London)
