Loom Talent are delighted to be supporting on the recruitment of a Logistics and Supply Chain Lead for a client in Woking. Our client is a global leader in FMCG. The role will be based from the UK HQ and offers a hybrid working arrangement including flexible hours and some WFH.
In the role of Logistics and Supply Chain Lead you will support the UK operation, overseeing the scheduling of movements of goods. Areas of responsibility within the role will include:
- Preparation and Verification of Shipping Documentation
- Oversight and Replenishment Planning
- Logistics Pricing and Cost Optimisation
- Customs Compliance and Import/Export Coordination
- Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Engagement
- Warehouse and Inter-Office Coordination
- Administrative Support to Commercial and Finance Teams
- Supply Chain Risk Management
- Sustainability and Compliance Monitoring
- KPI Reporting and Continuous Improvement
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. A solid understanding of supply chain processes is essential, including thorough knowledge of Incoterms, logistics and warehouse operations, and both national and international shipping regulations. Familiarity with planning techniques and experience handling UK imports are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required, and experience with ERP systems is an advantage. Candidates with good academics within Logistics or Supply Chain are encouraged to apply but this is not essential.
