Job Description
Investment and Corporate Communications Specialist | London
Due to our continued growth internationally, we are now hiring within our Strategy and Corporate Affairs team in our King’s Cross office in London.
We are looking for an experienced financial communications expert to support the Fund’s international investment activities across both public and private markets (including infrastructure, real estate, private equity, and private credit).
Your new role
The Corporate Affairs team in Europe is responsible for protecting and promoting the Fund’s reputation as a leading global investor with a broad group of stakeholders, including media, government, regulators, investment partners, and the broader investment community.
Reporting to and working very closely with our Head of Corporate Affairs for International, this role will play a key part in helping the Fund to deliver on its long-term investment strategy and ongoing strong performance through increasing its investments in public and private markets globally and reinforcing its reputation as a leading global investor.
You will:
- Provide considered communications advice and support to the Investments Teams & Committees.
- Work across a range of transactions and investment activity spanning the UK, Europe and the Americas, including infrastructure, real estate, private equity and private credit.
- Identify and assess reputation issues and risks, developing appropriate mitigation strategies and plans in relation to potential investments.
- Identify and map key stakeholders and develop engagement plans.
- Build and manage relationships with investment third parties.
- Manage ad-hoc media and stakeholder queries, including preparation of media statements and briefings.
- Support the delivery of media training and preparation, including drafting of briefing notes and talking points for senior executives.
- Identify opportunities to build the Fund’s profile and brand, embracing digital channels, content development and thinking beyond traditional media.
- Build internal knowledge of our global investment portfolio and acquisitions.
- Contribute to the preparation of Board and other reports as required.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting and business planning process for our activities in Europe.
- Work as part of a collaborative global team, contributing across a range of the Fund’s initiatives.
- Help to manage engagement with AustralianSuper’s external agency partners.
This role is based on site at London King’s Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund’s global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule.
What you’ll need

- Relevant qualifications in communications, strategy, and/or finance or equivalent.
- Significant experience and exposure within corporate communications, including private & public market transaction, investment communications and media relations.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans and campaigns.
- Demonstrated expertise in media, issue management, and an understanding of ESG activity in investments.
- Track record in reputational risk management within investment transactions and asset ownership.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, and experience engaging with senior executives.
- Experience in infrastructure, real estate, private equity or private credit would be a bonus.
