The Opportunity:
As a key member of our HR Shared Services team for a global client, you will handle critical HR transactions in Workday for the EMEA region, including promotions, compensation adjustments and job changes. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about their career in Human Resources, enjoys helping employees find answers to their HR related questions, and is interested in continuing to build upon their knowledge across all HR functions. A successful team member will be extremely detail oriented, flexible with continuous process/system changes, possess a problem-solving mind-set and enjoys creating order from ambiguity.
Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years in HR or HR Shared Services, focusing on employee data administration
- Experience with HR systems—Workday is essential
- Familiarity with case management tools like ServiceNow (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
- Experience documenting business processes in a visual format (MS Visio preferred)
- HR qualification or similar certification (CIPD) is desirable
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analysing and answering escalated and complex HR-related queries and acts as liaison with contacts including local HR, Centre of Excellence and other key stakeholders
- Serve as an escalation for tier one (first line employee support) for questions from employees, manager, executives and HR colleagues regarding HR procedures, processes and policies, with global consistency and local applicability
- Verify and/or validate employee information related to compensation, status and position changes, organisational and departmental changes, pending new hires and re-hired employees, employee transfers, employee personal information and process applicable changes in an accurate and timely manner
- Proactively maintain and administer accurate and timely HR data in the global HR System (Workday); input, update and reconcile data as required to ensure information is current and accurate
- Audit global data entry on a regular basis to review data for accuracy and compliance and test new HR Workday enhancements prior to general release
