A dynamic and strategic opportunity has arisen with a leading client in the safety and industrial services sector. They are looking for a professional and creative Bid Manager to join their growing commercial team. This role is pivotal to securing new business and retaining key clients through the production of best-in-class tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write bespoke, compelling, and market-leading tender documents (PQQs, RFIs, RFPs/ITTs) for both new and existing business.
  • Engage with stakeholders across all business levels to translate technical information into professional, high-impact content.
  • Promote best practices and ensure a consistent bid process.
  • Develop tailored service solutions in line with business strategy.
  • Support the ongoing development and refinement of the Bid Library.
  • Organise and participate in internal 'Kick Off' and 'Review' meetings.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director on strategic opportunities.
  • Use Adobe InDesign to create visually impressive tender responses.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Corporate Account teams to build impactful presentations.
  • Deliver pitches and presentations to customers for key bids.
  • Actively contribute to improving bid methodology and team performance.
  • Monitor tender portals for new opportunities and ensure timely responses.
  • Line manage bid team members, providing coaching, delegation, and support.
  • Manage the delivery of high-quality responses for all public sector tenders.
  • Coordinate external resources when required to support bid writing.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Excellent writing and content creation skills.
  • Outstanding time management and organisation skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience managing tender processes and delivering successful bids.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Bid Manager or similar role.
  • Full UK driving licence required for travel to service centres and business sites.
  • A degree in English, Journalism, or similar is desirable but not essential.
