This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their estimating career to gain practical experience in a hands-on, client-facing environment. You will assist in tendering activities, liaise with subcontractors, and help prepare packages and pricing information. You’ll also be mentored and trained in how to perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to request and follow up on quotations.
  • Issue tender enquiries and track responses.
  • Assist in preparing and sending subcontractor packages, including drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
  • Organise and maintain bid documentation, supplier responses, and pricing records.
  • Collaborate with the senior estimator on project tender submissions.
  • Be trained and mentored in estimating techniques, including measuring quantities, reviewing plans, and understanding pricing breakdowns.
  • Support the team in compiling cost schedules and comparison sheets.
  • Help ensure pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements.
