Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day quality activities and manage the Production Quality team.
  • Implement and standardise quality tools and processes across all value streams.
  • Ensure effective use of APQP, PFMEA, and control plans in production.
  • Drive quality improvements using SPC, OEE, and right-first-time performance measures.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from a quality engineering perspective.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action using tools like 8D, PPS, DMAIC.
  • Manage production scrap through MRB processes.
  • Support supplier quality issue resolution.
  • Maintain and develop quality procedures and policies.
  • Report on quality KPIs and contribute to annual improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 Rev D, regulatory standards, and audit schedules.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in quality management practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong background in Quality Engineering within AS9100 Rev D environments.
  • Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, PSW, FAIR, ISIR, SPC, and Control Plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced setting.

  • Essential: Proactive and self-motivated; Strong communication and mentoring skills; Detail-oriented and highly organised; Leadership and team management experience; Adaptable and open to change.
  • Desirable: AS9100 auditor training; CMM technology experience; Knowledge of lean tools (5S, Jidoka, SMED); Familiarity with project management software (e.g. MS Project).

Other: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to suppliers/customers on short notice.
