Structural Design Engineer

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting: We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield. Immediate start available(Subject to the interview process) Salary is £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) This position offers an excellent opportunity for progression within the business allowing you to contribute to its growth and collaborate directly with clients on a wide variety of projects. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with site teams to develop effective construction solutions and identify opportunities for structural components. Design steel connections as part of project requirements as well as one of fabricated products such as masonry soffit systems, fixing and restraints as well as one of fabricated bespoke items. Create detailed drawings and product specifications. Review and rationalise client engineering designs, providing value engineering and negotiating necessary changes with the design team. Designing products for the construction & Civil sectors. Liaising with Clients to review product orders, specifications, calculationsIdeal Candidate Profile: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Structural design Engineer. Proficient with Auto-cad and Solid Works Experience in designing structural metalwork is a plus, though not mandatory. Familiarity with designing steel connections and support systems is advantageous.
