Summary:
Our client is seeking a commercially driven logistics professional to join their fast-paced business that has a strong customer centric culture and a multi-skilled, unionised workforce. Taking responsibility for all operational standards within this compliance-led environment, you will ensure that operational efficiencies meet clients' stringent expectations and that all financial targets and KPIs are met. You will need to hold a CPC qualification and have a good knowledge of H&S; an IOSH certificate or equivalent is also preferred. A strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience are also called for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all budgets and targets are achieved and KPIs are met.
- Monitor, manage and co-ordinate all depot-based resources.
- Lead and develop staff.
- Manage a sizeable, unionised workforce.
- Manage the profit and loss of the contracts.
- Deliver first class customer service and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee Health and Safety compliance.
- Lead organisational change, optimise operations and improve workforce performance.
Experience:
- Extensive Operations Management experience from services or logistics.
- CPC qualification.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Able to manage multiskilled and unionised workforces.
- Commercially driven with strong financial acumen and profit and loss experience.
