Job Title: English Teacher Location: Bourne Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience) Start: September 2025 Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Excited to inspire students with a love for literature and language as an English Teacher? This role requires strong subject expertise, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging and thought-provoking English lessons. About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will play a key role in fostering a love for literature and language while ensuring students achieve their full potential. The Successful Candidate Will: Plan and deliver inspiring and creative English lessons. Teach a range of topics, including literature, creative writing, and language analysis. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and academic performance. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and challenge learners. Encourage students to develop a passion for English and improve their literacy skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum. Take part in school activities, including literary events, reading clubs, and extra-curricular programs. English Teacher Requirements: Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have UK teaching experience. A degree in English, Literature, or a related subject. Experience teaching English in a school setting. Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills. Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners. Passion for encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a love for English. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
