A leading groundwork and civil engineering contractor in Bedfordshire is seeking an Freelance Estimator. The company specialises in large commercial and resident projects, supported by a modern plant fleet and experienced in-house teams. Requirements: 7+ years\’ experience as an estimator Bedfordshire based Must have own Ltd Company set up in the UK with insurances Background in – Groundworks/Infrastructure/Civil Engineering Working towards Chartered status or other recognised bodiesDuties: Review tender documentation and quantify scope of works for accurate costing Prepare competitive cost estimates, including preliminaries and bills of quantities Identify and manage commercial and technical risks, proposing best-value solutions Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing Present tender submissions and lead commercial handover to the delivery teamThis role is a freelance position, however, will be open to extension at the end of contract for the right person.
