Bishop Grosseteste University is seeking part-time Study Skills Tutors (ASC) at a rate of £28 per hour plus holiday pay. Randstad Student Support is recruiting Specialist one-to-one Study Skills Support Workers to work with autistic students studying at Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln). The role has already begun and is hybrid, requiring successful candidates to travel to the local university or college and offer both in-person and online sessions flexibly to meet student preferences.
As a Specialist one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan tailored to the student’s needs and encouraging them to become independent learners.

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in creating individual learning plans
- Experience with various research methods and referencing styles
- Ability to foster independence and self-advocacy in students

- This specialist role requires a strong academic background and relevant training in supporting autistic adults.
- To meet the requirements of the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), candidates must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Level 6).
- Possess a teaching qualification.
- Have completed extensive training in adult autism, such as: 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package), or The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies.
