With nearly 40 years of dedicated service, we specialise in the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of a wide array of heating and air conditioning systems. As a Commercial Gas Service & Installation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our service installation and maintenance team. This dynamic position requires a hands-on approach to both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring that heating and hot water systems are operating efficiently and effectively. You will report directly to the Branch Manager and be integral to delivering our high standards of service to a range of commercial clients.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on various heating systems, including boilers and package burners.
  • Perform testing and purging of gas installation pipework and associated systems such as pumps, valves, and fans.
  • Oversee the installation of both domestic and commercial boiler and plant room systems, utilising skills in soldered and press-fitting systems as well as screwed steel pipework.
  • Carry out electrical installations and fault finding on systems as required.
  • Participate in plumbing, ventilation, and other plant room maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Uphold safety standards and compliance regulations while performing duties.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues to the Branch Manager.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of commercial gas, LPG, and oil-fired systems. Mandatory qualifications include Gas qualifications Domestic & Commercial (Domestic CCN1, CENWAT, CKHB1, etc. Commercial COCDN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CPA1, DAH1, ICPN1, HTR1, TPCP1 and CONGLP1PD LPG Changeover) and preferably plumbing qualifications (City and Guilds Level 3, Unvented water regulations G3). We are looking for someone with a full clean UK driving licence and be willing to travel and stay away, when necessary. A proactive approach to problem solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, are essential. Additionally, experience in industrial gas, oil, or plumbing, UKATA asbestos qualifications, and PASMA scaffold tower and IPAF mobile elevated working platform qualifications are preferred.
