We have a Personal Tax Senior Manager opportunity with a progressive accountancy practice in Coventry, to support the increased capacity within the team due to business growth. This role can offer hybrid working with three days in the office and a broad range of flexible benefits.
Whilst advertised as a Senior Manager, the firm is open to applications at Director level and those seeking an equity position, in this case a higher salary than that advertised would be negotiable.
This role will provide strategic support to the Personal Tax Partner and manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, providing expert tax and compliance services. Acting as the escalation point for the Personal Tax Manager, this role facilitates the efficient delivery of tax services for clients, resolution of complex tax matters and delivery of tax structuring advice.
Primarily client-facing, this role requires the ability to establish strong client relationships, develop new business and contribute towards elevating the firm’s presence in the marketplace.
Reporting to Directors, as Personal Tax Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a client portfolio, including high net-worth individuals, business owners and trusts
- Advising clients on a wide range of tax issues, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax planning
- Providing tailored tax planning advice to clients, considering their individual circumstances and financial goals
- Leading and mentoring the Personal Tax team, providing guidance, training and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the firm’s tax strategy
- Networking, collaborating with other departments, leading client meetings and overseeing the technical development of the team
- Mitigating risk for both the firm and clients and overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns on CCH software

- Ability to build strong client relationships and explain complex tax issues to clients
- Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- Excellent communication skills
