Salary, £24,782 to £37,388 plus market premium of up to £3,000 pro‑rata, per annum, reviewed annually and subject to terms and conditions.

The Role
We are looking to enhance our team of Counselling lecturers who teach on our highly successful and popular Counselling courses. You will deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment at undergraduate level across the FdA and BA (hons) Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes at Blackburn University Centre. Supporting students completing these programmes, as well as being flexible and willing to teach on other programmes within the school.
Maintaining and developing the curriculum to ensure relevance to Counselling and the wider links related industry organisations as required. Engaging with students using a variety of learning and teaching modes, including face‑to‑face and blended learning on full, part‑time and short courses.
What are we looking for?
- A UK Honours degree (or ENIC‑NARIC recognised degree) in a relevant discipline, and a PGCE or other teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (to achieve within 2 years of appointment).
- A Postgraduate qualification at level 7 in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualification, or willingness to work towards.
- A registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or equivalent practice experience and a current practising counsellor.
- A strong awareness of contemporary developments within the Counselling Services Sector.
