Deputy Head of Science – Permanent Post Location: Enfield, North London Salary: MPS/UPS Outer London + TLR2c (£8,279) Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Direct to School) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Commutable From: Walthamstow, Edmonton, Cheshunt, Barnet, Tottenham Are you an outstanding science teacher ready to lead and inspire across a thriving department? The Opportunity Long Term Futures is supporting a high-performing secondary school in Enfield to appoint a Deputy Head of Science for a September start. This is a direct-to-school, permanent post, ideal for an ambitious educator eager to take the next step in their leadership career. You will play a key role in supporting the Head of Faculty with curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and strategic oversight across KS3-KS5. You\’ll take a hands-on approach to behaviour management, lead small group instruction, and contribute to targeted progress monitoring interventions that drive achievement in Science. This is a dynamic department where outcomes are consistently strong, and your expertise in one-on-one tutoring, lesson planning, and teacher development will help shape continued success.
