An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join the Stratford Physiotherapy Service in Newham. This is a community-based role supporting patients with musculoskeletal conditions through high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy. The service is focused on patient-centred care, flexible access, and collaboration with advanced practice colleagues to ensure efficient care pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality MSK physiotherapy to patients across the borough of Newham
  • Independently manage a defined caseload, including complex cases, using sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalised treatment plans, and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions
  • Work autonomously while contributing to the wider team's development and clinical standards
  • Participate in the operation and delivery of gym-based rehabilitation as part of patient care
  • Collaborate closely with Extended Scope Physiotherapists (ESPs), GPs with Special Interests (GPwSI), and consultants in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics to ensure seamless patient pathways
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with Trust policies
  • Participate in service development, quality improvement, and peer support activities

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist with post-graduate experience in MSK
  • Proven ability to manage a complex MSK caseload independently
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to contribute to team development and service delivery

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a community MSK setting
  • Familiarity with shared care pathways involving ESPs and GPwSIs
  • Experience delivering rehabilitation in a gym setting
