Are you a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for innovation and process improvement? An established, industry-leading aerospace engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Product Introduction & Development (NPI & NPD):
- Lead technical evaluations of aircraft component repairs and overhauls
- Conduct reverse engineering of component assemblies
- Develop and validate alternative tooling designs
- Deliver NPD projects on time and within budget
- Produce technical documentation, drawings, and analysis
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and procedure creation
- Provide hands-on technical support for equipment failures and non-conformances
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Design or upgrade tools and equipment in line with test specifications and budgets
- Apply industrial engineering methods to identify efficiency opportunities
- Support operational excellence and lean initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, GEMBA, 5S)
- Champion process standardisation and cost-saving projects
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Understanding of AS9100 is essential, while CAA/EASA & FAA Part 145 and Part 21G standards experience is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage projects effectively
