About your new Technical Trainer role
Are you passionate about developing others and sharing your technical expertise? We are looking for a Technical Trainer to design, deliver, and manage impactful training programmes for engineers (HGV sector) and support staff within a fast-paced, technically driven environment.
The Technical Trainer will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering engaging technical training across all stages of the engineer learning journey, including onboarding, refresher sessions, and qualifications (e.g., IRTEC).
- Creating, updating, and maintaining training materials and schedules aligned with current standards and best practices.
- Supporting and assessing engineers through internal and external accreditation processes.
- Providing technical training to non-technical staff (e.g., Controllers) to improve cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborating with technical teams and subject matter experts to develop clear and effective training content.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and cross-departmental projects.
Experience required for the Technical Trainer role:
- Proven experience in delivering technical training, ideally in engineering or manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, tools, and practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple training streams.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and training standards, including IRTEC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Desirable: PTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching/training qualifications.
- Any experience gained within the HGV sector would be beneficial.
