EOTAS Tutor for Female Secondary Student (Year 11) in Clacton-on-Sea, working with SEMH Children and Young People. This role involves 1:1 tuition for a student Educated Other Than at School (EOTAS). Up to £27 per hour for qualified teachers/tutors.

LT Support is recruiting Tutors to raise the level of engagement in education, achievement, and attainment of students worked with. You will also support improving the rate of progress and the student's wellbeing.

Currently, there is a part-time requirement of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday), from 9:30am to 12:30pm, working with a student supporting English, Maths, and Science GCSEs. Additional students can be arranged.

  • Teaching students and classes of children and young people facing Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  • Working within community settings to meet the additional needs of students with SEMH
  • Adapting teaching to improve educational outcomes for students with SEMH
  • Coaching and modelling good teaching and learning practice for other staff

Ideally, you will have knowledge of GCSEs and the secondary curriculum, as well as knowledge of safeguarding and SEN. You will monitor and facilitate the learning of the young person while also supporting the parents/carer in developing partnerships.
