Responsibilities & Duties:
- Check Goods In items by performing visual inspection of raw materials and supplied components to confirm they have been delivered in accordance with the purchase order documentation ensuring the rejection and replacement of any defective products are actioned in a timely manner.
- Report quality variances to the QC representatives.
- Debrief the quality control inspector of any quality variances to enable them to produce a NCR so an investigation into the route cause can be established.
- Determine, establish and supply kits to support the phased in load of material and products to ensure the lines are fed directly without having to search for required items.
- Conduct regular checks on kits prior to issue to ensure accuracy, record and report any anomalies.
- Participate in the control of the internal and external material storage supply arrangements and facilities, ensuring that materials are stored safely and security processes are implemented to prevent any unauthorised material being taken from store.
- Participate in the annual, periodic and perpetual material stores stock taking activities presenting outcomes and improvement proposals to the Operations team.
- To operate the relevant lifting equipment, for example Cranes, forklift truck and other recognised lifting equipment, ensuring the relevant licences are held.
- All individuals are expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their job and may be asked to perform other reasonable duties.
- Recognise health and safety is a responsibility of every individual, to take reasonable care of self and others and to comply with Health and Safety policies and any service specific procedures/rules that apply to the job.
- Any ad hoc duties commensurate to the role.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- FLT experience & licence is beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge/experience of Stores and stock control.
- Experience/understanding of rigorous quality management systems and processes.
- Competent IT Skills with ability in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, procedures and work instructions.
- A good understanding of manufacturing tolerances and industry standards.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Good observational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Literacy and Numeracy- must be able to confirm numerically and literacy capable.
Hours: Mon-Thurs: 08.00 - 16.30 Fri: 08.00 - 15.30 Plus plenty of overtime at time & half
Pay Rate: £13 - £15 per hour. 40 Hours per week. Overtime usually available at time & half.
