Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
Location: Horley – Must be a driver due to rural location
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
The Role
As the Warehouse Operative, you will assist the Despatch Operative with international freight packing, stock management, and general warehouse duties. Your responsibilities will include handling goods, maintaining inventory records, ensuring a smooth dispatch process, and supporting overall warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the packing of goods for national and international freight shipments.
- Assist with the collection and delivery of goods off-site as required.
- Provide support across all areas of the Stores Department, including:
- Processing stock shortage tickets.
- Assisting with goods inwards, booking in, and warehousing tasks.
- Coordinate with third-party contractors as needed.
About you:
- Must have a full driving license.
- Experience operating a Forklift Truck.
- Previous experience working in a shop floor or warehouse environment.
- Strong communication and numerical skills.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Confident using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach.
