A growing and reputable fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to take ownership of all tenders valued at £100k - £4m. This senior-level role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in the business’s continued growth and success, with flexibility to split your time between the office, home, and site as needed.
Role Overview:
As Pre-Contracts Manager, you’ll lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-value tenders. This role requires a commercially sharp, detail-focused professional who can confidently manage tenders from start to handover, and contribute to the business’s pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for all tenders from £100k - £4m in value.
- Break down packages of work and distribute to the supply chain for pricing.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers as required based on scope.
- Create pricing schedules when necessary.
- Attend tender surveys and mid-bid interviews.
- Collate finalised tenders and present to the senior commercial team for review.
- Lead a thorough handover of secured projects to the delivery team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in the fit-out industry, ideally with a recognised main contractor.
- Deep understanding of commercial interiors and fit-out processes.
- Strong supply chain management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work autonomously.
- Confident representing the business in client-facing situations.
Working Arrangements:
- Office-based in Hertfordshire 3 days per week during probation.
- Flexibility to work from home or from site in London post-probation.
- Working hours: 7:30am–4:30pm or 8:00am–5:00pm (flexible).
