The Role: Head of History

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the History Department, aligning with whole-school priorities.
- Oversee the design, delivery, and review of an ambitious and engaging History curriculum across Key Stages 3–5.
- Inspire, mentor, and support colleagues within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
- Foster a culture of academic curiosity, debate, and historical scholarship in and beyond the classroom.
- Lead departmental initiatives such as enrichment programmes, educational visits, and guest lectures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on whole-school initiatives, including academic tracking and curriculum development.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
