Are you a passionate and proactive Process Development professional with a knack for turning concepts into commercially viable products? We’re looking for a dynamic Process Development Manager to join the team at Warminster production site. In this pivotal role, you will lead the successful launch and optimisation of new and existing products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness throughout the process.
Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the Head of NPD, you will be responsible for delivering new product launches, product improvements, and supporting key capital projects across the site. This role is hands-on and cross-functional, working closely with NPD, Technical, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure every product is launched smoothly—right first time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage development projects from concept to launch, acting as the main point of contact internally and externally
- Own and deliver project critical paths to meet target launch dates
- Work cross-functionally to ensure factory trials, product sign-off, and full-scale launches are successful
- Maintain and develop allergen risk assessments and scheduling in line with business and legal requirements
- Collaborate with Hygiene to maintain allergen verification standards
- Support the creation of SOPs and QA standards for all new and existing products
- Deliver training across departments to ensure best practices in process development
- Be an active member of the HACCP team, ensuring compliance with HARA, TSA, and customer standards
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through process improvement and value engineering
- Maintain all documentation in line with BRC, ISO, and customer requirements
- Support packaging trials and artwork completion, ensuring compliance with FIR regulations
- Provide technical support to ensure food safety, quality, and legal compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Food Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a process or NPD role within the food manufacturing industry
- Sound knowledge of food legislation, HACCP, and industry standards
- Experience in managing development projects and capital initiatives
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project Management tools)
- Full UK driving licence essential
