A dedicated and skilled Class 1 Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Contract: Permanent

Overtime: Enhanced rate

Location: Slough and surrounding areas

Salary: Starting from £20.00 per hour

Shift: Variable shift available, Day/Nights, Full Time/Part Time, Weekend, Flexi Days, etc.

Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Operating commercial vehicles
  • Load and unload goods
  • Manual work
  • Making sure loads are safely secured
  • Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
  • Carrying out basic routine maintenance

Technical Skills:

  • A valid HGV and CPC license
  • Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
  • Ability to operate HGVs safely and efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Familiarity with GPS systems and other tracking devices

The successful candidate will:

  • Be present with a Positive and Can-do attitude
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Have great communication skills
  • Provide a full 5-year checkable history
  • Hold a Clean Driving Licence (if the position requires it)
  • Hold valid DQC and up to date CPC
