Technical Manager

Residential Developer | Traditional Build Housing

Kenna Recruitment is working with a respected Tier Two residential developer delivering traditional build housing schemes across the South of the UK, with a new development in West Sussex . With a strong pipeline of new developments, they are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to take ownership of the technical delivery of housing projects from pre-construction through to completion.

This role would suit someone with a solid background in UK residential housebuilding , strong Building Regulations knowledge , and experience managing the technical aspects of traditional construction methods .

The Role

• Managing the technical and design delivery of traditional build residential housing schemes
• Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and statutory authorities
• Managing planning conditions, technical approvals and discharge processes
• Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations , NHBC / LABC requirements and warranty provider standards
• Reviewing and approving drawings, specifications and design changes
• Supporting procurement and construction teams with technical input
• Managing design risk, buildability and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle
• Attending and leading design team meetings

About You

• Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator within UK residential development
• Strong background delivering traditional build housing
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and residential standards
• Experience working client-side for a developer or with a main contractor delivering housing schemes
• Confident managing consultants and driving the design process
• Organised, detail-focused and commercially aware
