Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PCB Test Engineer to support our aerospace component programs. You will be responsible for validating and verifying the performance and reliability of advanced PCB assemblies in line with aerospace standards. This is a 6-month contract role, working onsite in Solihull, and is outside IR35. The role offers a competitive rate of Β£40βΒ£45 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must already hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance due to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute robust test plans for PCB assemblies used in aerospace applications.
- Conduct functional, environmental (e.g., thermal, vibration), and performance testing on PCB components.
- Troubleshoot PCB failures and collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure testability and performance compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, findings, and compliance reports.
- Ensure all testing processes adhere to relevant aerospace industry regulations and standards.
- Contribute to the improvement of test methodologies and overall quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PCB testing, fault finding, and validation.
- Proficiency with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Solid understanding of PCB design, layout, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working to aerospace quality and safety standards (e.g., AS9100, DO-160).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
