Location: Colchester General Hospital

Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm

Trust Location: East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust

Role type: Temporary for 6 weeks with possibility of extension

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • This job role will be to type consultant and registrar letters from on calls and clinics.
  • The Support Typist will be expected to update an admin spreadsheet and to outcome clinic appointments on CareFlow.
  • Digital dictation experience is essential as well as knowledge of CareFlow.
  • Experience of Bighand essential.
  • Any other associated administrative duties.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Administration experience (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • NHS experience (essential).
  • Audio typing skills (essential).
  • Competent with Microsoft office programmes.
