We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our commercial maintenance team in York. This is a great opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach and a passion for maintaining high standards across commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and inspections on commercial properties
  • Assist engineers with routine servicing and reactive works
  • Respond to emergency call-outs during on-call rota
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities support role
  • Basic knowledge of building services (e.g. plumbing, electrics, general repairs)
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
On-call Details:
  • 1 in 4 weeks on-call
  • £150 standby allowance
  • Company vehicle provided with door-to-door use during on-call week
